Alternative
Google Forms alternative for taking orders
Google Forms is free, everyone has it, and an order form in it works until the second week: no stock, no payment, a spreadsheet to copy totals from, no way to answer "is it ready?". This page is for a bakery, farm shop, caterer or maker who takes orders by link and wants the order to be an order.
Free plan. No credit card required.

Where Google Forms is better
- Free and unlimited. A Google account is all it takes, and there is no response cap on a normal form.
- Sheets. Every response lands in a spreadsheet you already know how to sort, filter and share.
- Familiarity. Customers have filled in a Google Form before; nobody needs instructions.
Where Answe is better
- A real catalog. Products with variants, prices and quantities, so the customer builds an order and sees the total, not a list of checkboxes.
- Payment and confirmation. Pay by card at the end if you want, and the customer gets a confirmation in the same chat.
- Replies. "Can you make it gluten-free?" is a message in the order thread, answered from the inbox or the app, not a lost email.

Can I take payment with the order?
Yes. Card payment through Stripe is an action at the end of the order; you can also take orders without payment and settle on pickup.
Do I still get a spreadsheet?
Orders export to CSV from the inbox, and the account-level reports show totals across orders.
Is the free plan enough for a small shop?
The free plan takes 100 responses per question. A shop doing more than that a month is on Standard at €9.99.
What does Google Forms do better?
It is completely free, unlimited and already in your Google account, and every answer is in a Sheet. For a one-off sign-up or a survey, use it.
